NOTICE AND AGENDA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gunnison City Council will hold a Work Meeting on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. along with its regularly scheduled Meeting on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Work Meeting 1) 5:30 p.m. Work Meeting with Six County Association Leaders – Emery Polelonema, Regional Planner and Russ Cowley, Director to discuss with City Council and Business Leaders in the Community a. Review Vision Statement b. Review Mission Statement c. Develop Strategic Economic Plan Gunnison City, Utah Council Business 1) Discuss and Approve Pool Committee and Set Dates for Meetings – Council Member Brian Jensen 2) Discuss and Approve Recreation Board – Council Member Jeremy Pickett 3) Discuss and Approve Baseball Director – Council Member Jeremy Pickett 4) Maintenance on City Hall Heating/Cooling, Review and Award Contract for RFP for Mechanical Maintenance 5) City Hall Construction Review of Punch List, Warranty Items and Remaining Issues 6) Discuss and Appoint Land Use Hearing Officer – Council Member Brian Jensen 7) Discuss Amendment of Land Use Ordinance to Allow for Monument Signs in R&C Zone 8) Approve Minutes from City Council Meeting for Wednesday January 19, 2011 Open and Closed sessions, and City Council Public Hearing Minutes from Thursday, January 27, 2011. 9) Identification of Items to be included on Future Agendas 10) Approve Bills and Adjustments 11) Closed Session 12) Adjourn NOTE: The agenda items may be discussed in any order. *In compliance with ADA, persons needing auxiliary communicative aids & accommodations for City-sponsored public meetings, services, programs, etc. should call City Offices at (435)528-7969 giving at least 24 hours notice. Consideration of adjourning into a Closed Session pursuant to the Provisions of Section 52-4-5(1)(a) of the Open Meeting Law for the purpose of (i) discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; and (c) strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation.
