SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. a public hearing will be held in Room 315, Council Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State, Salt Lake City, Utah, before the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment on authorizing a fee waiver for youth qualifying for free or reduced lunch pursuant to the Utah Department of Workforce Services Grant Requirements. Salt Lake City Public Services applied for and has received the Afterschool Match Partnership Grant 2020 ('Grant') from the Utah Department of Workforce Services ('DWS'). While the City Council has appropriated the Grant funds for its intended purposes, under the Grant's requirements the City must waive programming-related fees for youth who otherwise qualify for free lunch and offer a sliding fee scale for youth who qualify for reduced lunch (the 'Fee Waiver'). The Grant will provide $250,000 each year for the next three years for YouthCity afterschool programming. All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard in this matter. The City & County Building is an accessible facility.
