PAYSON CITY NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION RIDING ANNEXATION Petition Notice is hereby given that on November 1, 2019, Michael DeMarco, filed a petition proposing the annexation of 1.764 acres located at approximately 600 West and 2000 South into Payson City. Receipt of Notice of Certification The petition was certified as required by Utah Code Section 10-2-405(2), and the Payson City Council received Notice of the Certification on November 8, 2019. Description of the Property to be Annexed The area proposed for annexation is located at approximately 600 West and 2000 South and is more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING AT A POINT BEING N.89°34'59' E. 1219.75' ALONG THE SECTION LINE AND SOUTH 522.85' FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 9 SOUTH, RANGE 2 EAST, SALT LAKE BASE & MERIDIAN; THENCE, N 89° 00' 01' E FOR A DISTANCE OF 1402.06 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE, SAID LINE BEING ALONG THE EXISTING PAYSON CITY BOUNDARY LINE. THENCE, ALONG THE PAYSON CITY BOUNDARY LINE, S 02° 18' 00' W FOR A DISTANCE OF 51.09 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE. THENCE, S 88° 51' 08' W FOR A DISTANCE OF 618.97 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE. THENCE, S 88° 36' 40' W FOR A DISTANCE OF 268.26 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE. THENCE, S 88° 08' 15' W FOR A DISTANCE OF 387.10 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE. THENCE, S 89° 53' 29' W FOR A DISTANCE OF 138.64 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE. THENCE N 12° 21' 00' E A DISTANCE OF 59.71 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINS 1.76 ACRES Inspection and Copy of Petition The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the City Recorder's Office, located at 439 W Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah, during the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays. City May Grant Petition and Annex Property Unless Protest Filed The Payson City Council may grant the petition and annex the above-described property unless a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Payson City Recorder no later than Saturday, December 8, 2019, which is 30 days after the Payson City Council's receipt of the certification. Where Protests May Be Filed Protests shall be filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, ATTN: Gary Radcliff, Chair, at 2855 South Street, Provo, UT 84606 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. A copy of the protest must also be delivered to the Payson City Recorder's Office at 439 W Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah, during the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, except on holidays. Who May File Protests A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body, a governing board of an affected entity, or 'the owner of rural real property' according to UCA 10-2-407.
