NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. a public hearing will be held in Room 315, Council Chambers, City and County Building, 451 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, before the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance to temporarily close a portion of 2100 South Street as a public right-of-way, between approximately 2,400 feet west of the SR-201 frontage road and 1,500 feet east of 7200 West Street, pursuant to Utah Code Section 72-5-105. Modified access to area properties will be maintained during the closure. The reason for the temporary closure is to mitigate unsafe conditions such as repeated illegally dumped tires and other debris in the area. Sensitive wetlands in the area have also been degraded by the illegal activity. The temporary closure would allow government and community organizations to draft plans for enforcement and clean up for the area. All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard in this matter. The City & County Building is an accessible facility. People with disabilities may make requests for reasonable accommodation, which may include alternate formats, interpreters, and other auxiliary aids and services. Please make requests at least two business days in advance. To make a request, please contact the City Council Office at council.comments@slcgov.com, 801-535-7600, or relay service 711. (O 19-12)
