- NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Determine Jurisdiction if confirmed proceed with the hearing for Petition from Carrie Larson. 2. Determine Jurisdiction if confirmed proceed with the hearing for Petition from Calvin Richardson 3. Approve Accountant I continual hire register 4. Approval of the updated Entry-level Firefighter Eligibility Register 5. Fire Department Personnel Changes 6. Police personnel changes for May 2019 - July 2019 7. Approve the Updated Entry Level Police Officer Continual Hire Eligibility Register for one year. 8. Notice of names removed from Police Department Eligibility Registers 9. Approve the Updated Police Information Specialist Continual Hire Eligibility Register for one year. 10. Approve the Evidence Technician I Continual Hire Eligibility Register for one year. 11. Approve the Evidence Supervisor Continual Hire Eligibility Register for one year. The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
