- CITY OF OREM CITY COUNCIL MEETING 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah August 20, 2019 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. SCHEDULED ITEMS 2.1. TRUTH IN TAXATION Public Hearing 3. ADJOURN NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE CITY OF OREM The CITY OF OREM is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. - The CITY OF OREM tax on a $302,000 residence would increase from $151.32 to $163.28, which is $11.96 per year. - The CITY OF OREM tax on a $302,000 business would increase from $275.12 to $296.87, which is $21.75 per year. - If the proposed budget is approved, CITY OF OREM would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 7.96% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.
