- Notice is hereby given that the WELLSVILLE CITY COUNCIL shall conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Wellsville City is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. The Wellsville City tax on a $284,000 residence would increase from $134.80 to $148.23, which is $13.43 per year. The Wellsville City tax on a $284,000 business would increase from $245.09 to $269.52, which is $24.43 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, Wellsville City would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 9.92% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase. To obtain more information regarding the tax increase, citizens may contact Wellsville City at 435-245-3686.
