Approval of Minutes from May a. Mark Nelson, Board Chairman Motion to Approve - Corbin Motion to Second - Bruce Approved 3. Review Financials - Ryan Starks a. Bucket List Bash Report - Alison Rogers In the Heber Valley Guide there is a summer bucket list, and we created an expanded bucket list of summer activities and held a kick off event in our parking lot. 93 buckets were filled with Heber Valley SWAG and local information, and all 93 were given out, 1 per family. We had 13 businesses from the chamber participate, a bounce house, food trucks and the radio as well. 5. Arts Council grant of $75,000 - Dallin Koecher When formed in 2014 - continued financing for Arts programs - grants to programs Create an event Build an arts center 2018 Feasibility study - Financial and economic output - How much money would it take to operate the building, what else would it help? Joseph & Kathleen Sorensen Legacy Foundation - Applied for $85K to help towards plans for an arts center - Awarded $75K - earmarked for project development, community assessment - judge community interest 6. Economic Summit Report - Ryan Starks Sell out crowd - 400 people Breakout sessions - one was on the Mayflower Development 7. Silicon Slopes Recap - Ryan Starks Chamber Lunch speaker on June 19 Chamber Activities Visitors Center staffed by volunteers on Saturdays for the summer Advisory Board and office staff paired up to visit members of the chamber to make sure they feel like they are being taken care of. Some of the businesses were ones who haven't renewed to find out why. UOT Co-op application is being finalized 92K was awarded 2018 120K is being asked for Wayfinding Signs - being finalized next week TRT: 2018 - 28% up, 2019 First Q - 21% up from last year Cascade Springs road closed for paving, aware of complaints and are working to create some awareness of trails 8. Marketing Report - Jessica Broadhead Three Season - April - October - State of Play - Utah's Backyard Playground 30 second and 15 second videos 30 second plays on Social Media 15 second plays on Fox 13 morning show Winter - November - March - Utah's Winter Wonderland 5 - videos were created Tubing Skiing Ice Castles Snowmobiling Overall experience Mountain Meetings - Year Round Awareness campaign for meeting planners Special Events What can we do to tell the story/the experience of Heber Valley Targeted ads 9. Board Reports: a. Jeff Bradshaw - Heber City Update PRIDE flags - lots of opinions & feelings - Most are positive, a few vocal unhappy North end of cemetery - being sold as surplus property - Duke farm west of cemetery has been purchased for additional cemetery property b. Corbin Gordon - Update Homestead is on hold due to title issues Round-about at base of Memorial Hill Water adjudication - Starting in November c. Kevin Stocking - Chamber Update - Absent d. Lisa Orme - Midway City Update - Absent e. Marilyn Crittenden - Wasatch County Update Open Space bond moving forward to land owners f. Mark Nelson - Wasatch County Update g. Bruce Strom - TAB Report 2019 TAB grants have been awarded - Heber Valley Horse Sale Easter Extravaganza @ Zermatt Utah CAF Soldier Hollow Bike Race 10. Next Meeting Time: a.
