Description/Agenda: NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE NEWTON TOWN Newton Town is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. The Newton Town tax on a $220,000 residence would increase from $120.15 to $155.12, which is $34.97 per year. The Newton Town tax on a $220,000 business would increase from $218.46 to $282.04, which is $63.58 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, NEWTON TOWN would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 29.16% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.
