Garfield County Library Board Meeting FEBRUARY 7, 2018 AT 7:00 PM The Garfield County Board meeting started at 7:10 pm by teleconference. Those who were in attendance were Suzanne Dunham, Lyle Talbot, Trudi Owens, Melanie Heaton, Tyrissa Howell, Kathy Peterson, Gay Shakespear and David Tebbs. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Trudi Owens moved, seconded by Lyle Talbot to approve the minutes. The motion passed with all in favor. LIBRARIAN REPORTS Suzanne Dunham Suzanne Dunham is the new library director. Trichelle Nez is the new children librarian. Trichelle is on maternity leave. While Trichelle is on maternity leave the hours for the library will be 9-5. With Tyrissa Howell, Melanie Heaton and Kathy Petersen helping in Trichelle's absence. Lyle Talbot The generator on the bookmobile is not working. A replacement generator will be received from Carbon County Bookmobile. BOARD BUSINESS Barbara Talbot has retired from the Library Board Chair position. Lyle Talbot Nominated Melanie Heaton to be the Board Chair. The motion was approved by all. Lyle Talbot was nominated as vice chair. The motion was approved by all. SETTING OF NEXT MEETING The next Garfield County Board Meeting will be held May 2, 2019 at 7:00 PM. ADJOURNMENT Lyle Talbot moved, seconded by Melanie Heaton to adjourn at 7:40 PM.
