PUBLIC NOTICE Gunnison City Council Vacancies Gunnison City currently has two vacancies on the Gunnison City Council due to the resignation of two of its members. The vacancies will be filled at a Gunnison City Council meeting scheduled on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gunnison City Hall by appointment of the City Council and in accordance with state law (UCA 20A-1-510). Each position will be for a 7 month term only, and will be up for election in the 2019 Gunnison City Municipal Election. Those who wish to be considered for this City Council position are encouraged to submit their name for consideration to JoAnn Taylor, City Treasurer or Janell Braithwaite, City Recorder. Names must be submitted in a sealed envelope and delivered to the Gunnison City Hall by Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE ARE: (UCA 10-3-301; 20A-9-203) 1. Be a United States Citizen 2. Be a registered voter of the municipality, 3. Be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election 4.
