- The Town of Altamont will be accepting Declarations of Candidacy for 2 Town Council position - 4 years, 1 Town Council position - 2 years. Each person seeking to become a candidate must file in person with the Town Clerk Melba Markham, June 3rd to June 7th Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. a
