Pleasant Grove Historic Preservation Commission Agenda Meeting Place: City Hall Basement Conference Room Meeting Date and Time: May 16, 2019, 7 PM Business Excused: Review and/or approve minutes: Motion by: Agenda Items 1. Hear reports from subcommittees: Preservation None Community Outreach Discuss details of May's Historic Home Social & Walking Tour-We will walk by a few houses from the tour book at 6:30. At 7 we'll split in two groups to tour the inside of her house and a neighbor's house. Social on her patio after. Date: Monday, May 20, 6:30 PM tour, 7 PM social Location: 269 E 200 N Hosts/Tour Guides: Tracy Scott Promotion: Shane will post online on several Facebook pages. Refreshments: Cookies, ice water, paper products from city council social Bricks and Walking Tour booklets available for sale Gift: Give a brick to the host Digitization & Archives Registration for the archives training that Alan Barnett (the State Archivist) recommended is now open. Who is registered and able to attend? History & Publications None 2. Finalize Strawberry Days (June 15-22) plan and make assignments. (Geri) - What are our action items and persons responsible for each? - Sign up for shifts. 3. Who is registered for SHPO's May 31 training? 4. Discuss items from April meeting with no action items: - Host a Senior Center event. Who would like to head this up? When should we hold it? - Host a Preservation Utah workshop-one for the general public, and one for our Commission. Do they have to be held during business hours? Did we pick a topic? (topics: CLG Grant Projects, Historic Tax Credits, Benefits/or process of nominating properties to the National Register of Historic Places, or Building 'Doctor'-explaining common fixes or issues with historic buildings). When? 5. Our next meeting (June 20) conflicts with Strawberry Days. Can we meet June 27? (Laurel reserved the room, just in case the alternate date works for all.)
