- Notice of public hearing Public notice is hereby given that Clean The Darn Air will hold public hearings to review its citizens' initiative petition, the Clean the Air Carbon Tax Act. The proposed initiative language is available for public review on the state elections website, www.elections.utah.gov. Seven public hearings will be held, at the times and locations listed below. For more information, please visit Clean The Darn Air online at www.CleanTheDarnAir.org. The agenda will be a brief description of the initiative proposal followed by an opportunity for public comment. The estimated end time is one hour after the start time. Southeast Region Tuesday, May 7, 2pm Utah State University Eastern Alumni Room, JLSC Building 400 E 451 N Price, UT 84501 Central Region Tuesday, May 7, 4pm Juab County Courthouse, Senior Center 160 N Main St. Nephi, UT 84648 Uintah Basin Region Tuesday, May 7, 5pm Duchesne Library 130 S Center St Duchesne, UT 84021 Mountain Region Tuesday, May 7, 7pm Provo Library, Brimhall Room 550 N University Ave Provo, UT 84601 Southwest Region Tuesday May 7, 7pm Springdale Town Hall 118 Lion Blvd. Springdale UT 84767 Wasatch Front Region Wednesday, May 8, 5pm Anderson-Foothill Library 1135 S 2100 E Salt Lake City UT 84108 Bear River Region Wednesday May 8, 7pm Logan Library, Bonneville Room 255 Main St Logan, UT 84321 This initiative petition proposes the creation of a new carbon tax.
