PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given to inform Garland City Residents that there will be a municipal election this year for 3 City Council positions (4-year terms) starting January 2020 to January 2024. Interested persons may file for office between June 3, 2019 and June 7, 2019 in person with a Declaration of Candidacy Form or Nominating Petition at the City Recorder's Office between 8 am and 5 pm at 72 North Main Street, Garland UT 84312. Candidates must meet the following qualifications: 1. Be a United States Citizen. 2. Be a registered voter of the municipality. 3. Be at least 18 years old at the time of the election. 4. Be a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election. 5. Any other constitutional and statutory qualifications outlined in UCA 20A-9-203 and any other changes/additions as outlined in the Utah State Legislature Bills passed. If more than two candidates file for each position, a primary will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
