Date of Meeting: Tuesday 4/9/19- Venue: OSTARC Office - Time: 5:30pm to 6:30pm 1. Call to Order/Open Meeting: 5:30 pm 2. Approval of minutes: For March 12, 2019 Meeting 3. Citizens to be heard: Local Horse Back Riding Instructors. A concern has come up on local instructors teaching local kids riding lessons. Need to discuss Fees to OSTA, and insurance requirements, along with scheduling the indoor and/or outdoor arena. 4. OSTA Manager's report: - Projects: - Barn D crack repair-1% completed ECD 7-3-19 - Barn C Crack repair-1% completed ECD 7-15-19 - Barn F stabilization 90% ECD 4-20-19 - Overhead Power to come down on reels (Indoor Arena) - - Arena Fencing- Reviewing Quotes - Retaining wall to south side of arena-70% completed ECD 3-18-19 - Drainage /down pipes east side of arena. 95% ECD 4-22-19 - Manure recycling (Ken & Steve) Manure Pile 100% Moved - Ground work Outdoor Arena, warm-up-analysis of soil, Mix added ECD 5-30-19 - Demolition of old outdoor concession Bldg. ECD 5-20-19 - Cell tower on OSTA property- Proceeding through legal review - Light poles to admin parking lot- 5% ECD 5-30-19 construction out to bid. - Marquee sign-replacement-Planning stage - Well-Funding, CIB priority & application, DNR applications, Acre Ft increase- - Portable bleachers to arena-2020 project ($40K- 250+ seats) - World Trail (need design+ sponsors / donation) Trail to be formalized By arena staff by adding reject gravel +Horse Obstacle Course - Ballfields Playground (Kathy working on this) - Extension to arena-(3 Phases) Cleaning room, Lobby and extra seating Events: for the Next month (May) Rodeo Practice (twice a week), Baseball Practice (3 times a week), Archery Practice (twice a week), Rising Sun-Cruise Moab, Mandy Rush Barrel Race Clinic, Utah Bronco Club, Dynatrac, Rally on the Rocks, Gone Moab, Moab Skate Night, Barrels for Bucks, Canyonlands PRCA Rodeo. 5. Board Member Reports: Kathy - to report on Playground funding. Ken - to report on any new information on pistol range. 6. Old Business: Projects for 2020 and beyond-Committee members to discuss their ideas upon their review of project spreadsheet. 7. New Business: Vice Chair, need to nominate/elect.
