NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Approve the minutes from February 21, 2018 meeting. 2. Set dates for Sherry Cardon's hearing and Prehearing. 3. Conduct prehearing/hearing for Tristan L Thomas 4. Approval of Fire Captain Promotional Process 5. Fire Department Personnel Changes 6. Discussion about notifying candidates the specifics as to why they are not eligible for a position prior to the commission hearing a petition. 7. Police personnel changes for February 2019 - March 2019 8. Approve the Social Service Worker/Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor Continual Hire Eligibility Register for one year. 9. Approve the Crime Scene Technician I Continual Hire Eligibility Register for one year. 10. Approve the updated Entry Level Police Officer Continual Hire Process. 11. Discuss the potential to allow 2 former airport Entry Level Police Officer candidates the opportunity to be considered for the Entry Level Police Officer position. The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
