Public Notice Washington County, Utah , will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday , March 19 , 2019 in the Millcreek Parks Office Conference Room, 390 North 3050 East , St. George , Utah Commencing at 12:00 p.m. The agenda for the meeting is as follows: Discussion and consideration of a tree(s) on location at Rio Virgin Trailer Park Estates, 2990 East Riverside Drive, St. George , Utah 2. Discussion and consideration of a tree(s) in Right of way, Pinebrook Subdivision, location at 563 South Pinebrook Lane, St. George , Utah 3. City of St George Shade Tree Advisory Board Minutes Tuesday, March 19, 2019 12 Noon - Parks Division Millcreek Office Attended: Shane Moore Michele Randall Ben Neumann Chris Brandt, City Arborist Kevin Holyoak Gil Almquist John Willis Richard Heflebower Rio Virgin HOA President-Vicki Vriens Pinebrook Subdivision residents- Nancy & Gary Bjorn Discussion: Mature tree(s) are the issues and what the roots are doing to the block wall fencing on Indian Hills Dr. and the sight variance in the ROW Right of Way at the location of Pinebrook Subdivision; damage to homeowners block walls are deteriorating due to the roots of the mature trees. And needles of the trees are messy. The property owners would like all trees removed. The Shade Tree Board Advisory will complete a onsite observation and report back at next Shade Tree Advisory Board Meeting scheduled in May 2019. Discussion: The labeling and or tagging' of city trees and Right of Way trees; to define City property and definitions suggested by Gil Almquist. Chris Brandt did followed up with a sample tag and let the Shade Tree Board view; the tag was met with acceptance. Discussion: Landscape replacement for Rio Virgin Estates Trailer Park- more time and tree selection to be determined; and recommendation(s) were suggested. More time for this project at Rio Virgin was asked and given. Other landscape options was brought up by John Willis Planning and Zoning Manager for the City of St.George. DIscussion: Arbor Day event scheduled for April 27, 2019 at the old cemetery in the city; planting of trees, will be the main focus adding beauty to the older cemetery. Come dressed to work and plant trees. Hot dogs and bottled water to be served for refreshments. Time is approximate from 9-noon. Please come and celebrate Arbor Day with us.
