NOTICE is hereby given that the DAVIS COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH will hold a public hearing in Room #2021 of the Davis County Health Department, 22 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah, at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday December 20, 2018. Pursuant to Utah Code 26A-1-12(1), the Board of Health will hold a public hearing to afford interested persons an opportunity to submit written data, views, and comments regarding proposed changes to the 'Rabies Prevention and Control Regulation'. The proposed changes include reducing the quarantine period for unvaccinated animals exposed to a rabid animal, defining animals whose vaccination status should be enforced by animal control, and revising previous language to be consistent with other state and federal rules. Copies of the regulation are available for review at the Communicable Disease & Epidemiology Bureau office located at 22 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah, or the Department website (http://daviscountyutah.gov/health/default.cfm). Interested persons can contact Ms. Sarah Willardson, Communicable Disease & Epidemiology Bureau Manager, at 801-525-5206 or swillardson@co.davis.ut.us. Written comments concerning the regulation will be considered as part of the hearing record if received at the Bureau office before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018.
