To whom it may concern:
The Tooele County Redevelopment Agency (the 'Agency') will hold a public hearing on December 4, 2018, commencing at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers of the Tooele County Administration Building, located at 47 South Main, Tooele, Utah. The purpose of the public hearing is to accept public comment on a draft project area plan for the proposed Horseshoe Solar Project Community Reinvestment Project Area.
On August 21, 2018, the Board of Directors of the Agency adopted Resolution No. 2018-02 authorizing the preparation of a draft community reinvestment project area plan and budget for the proposed project area within the survey area. Agency staff and consultants have prepared a draft plan for the proposed project area within the survey area.
The draft project area plan provides for the agency to receive tax increment. Property tax revenues resulting from an increase in valuation of property within the project area or proposed project area will be paid to the Agency for project area development rather than to the taxing entity to which the tax revenues would otherwise have been paid, if the proposed project area is created and the use of tax increment is approved by interlocal cooperation agreement with one or more of those taxing entities.
All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard in this matter. Written comments may also be submitted to the Agency regarding the draft plan prior to the date of the public hearing. All concerned citizens are invited to attend the hearing. Any person objecting to the proposed project area plan, or contesting the regularity of any of the proceedings to adopt the proposed project area plan, may appear before the board at the hearing to show cause why the proposed project area plan should not be adopted. The proposed project area plan is available for public inspection at the Tooele County Clerk's Office. (address below).
The proposed project area contains approximately 1,705 acres of undeveloped land located in a remote portion of Tooele County at the northern end of Skull Valley on the west side of the Stansbury Mountains, approximately 1 mile south of Interstate-80 (I-80). A legal description and map are enclosed.
People with disabilities may make requests for reasonable accommodation, which may include alternate formats, interpreters, and other auxiliary aids and services. Please make requests at least three business days in advance. To make a request, please contact the Agency at mailing/physical address of 47 South Main, Tooele, UT 84074; or by phone at (435) 843-3148, or by email at mgillette@tooeleco.org.
Sincerely,
Tooele County Redevelopment Agency
