Elwood Town Council Meeting October 9, 2018 The Elwood Town Council met at the Elwood Town Hall, 5235 West 8800 North, Elwood, Utah, at 7:00, October 9, 2018. The following members were present consisting of a quorum. Keenan Nelson Mayor Kim Yates Councilmember Mike Pace Councilmember Jon Howard Councilmember Staff present at this meeting Gina Marble Town Clerk Others present at this meeting Lizzy Hamson Kathryn Bodrero Tristan Nelson Barnard Nelson Desi Larsen WELCOME ADMINISTRATION Councilmember Nelson was absent Mayor welcomed everyone to the meeting, Minutes for the September 11, 2018 town council meetings was presented for approval. Councilmember Pace made a motion to approve the minutes for September 11, 2018. Councilmember Howard seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion. Item#1 Final Plot map for Barnard Nelson 2 lot subdivision approval-Barnard Nelson-Tristan Nelson presented his plat map to the council. Tristan stated that the subdivision is dividing the land by Brandi. Councilmember Pace stated that it was presented to the Planning Commission and they approved it and recommend it to the town council. Mayor Nelson stated that the subdivision meets all Elwood Town requirements. The council approved the final subdivision plot. Councilmember Pace made a motion to approve the final plot for the Barnard Nelson 2 lot subdivision. Councilmember Howard seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion. Item#2 Courtney Stocking-McKinley PTA red ribbon week-Courtney was not present. Item#3 Planning Commission Report-Kathryn Bodrero reported they just finished the 2nd draft of the simple minor subdivision Gil is working on them to get it finished. Item#4 Youth Council report-Lizzy Hamson and Desi Larsen- reported to the council, Desi stated that they only have 3 or 4 active and 4 or 5 on the fence. Desi stated that they need to focus on recruiting new members, we are struggling to get the members to the meetings. Councilmember Howard stated that he would work on getting kids to the meetings. Item#5 Animal Control Report-Hagen Gardner was not present. Item#6 Sargent Archuleta-Sheriff's report, Sargent Archuleta was not present. WATER Councilmember Yates had nothing to report. SEWER Councilmember Yates had nothing to report. PARKS AND RECREATION Councilmember Pace reported that he is looking for volunteers and a chair person for the 4th of July celebration. ROADS Mayor Nelson had nothing to report. EMERGENCY PREPARDNESS Councilmember Howard had nothing to report. OTHER Councilmember Howard made a motion to adjourn, Councilmember Yates seconded the motion and the remaining council agreed.
