CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ____________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Approve the minutes from September 20, 2018 meeting. 2. Determine Jurisdiction for Petition received from Hugh Wilson Jr. and conduct hearing if jurisdiction is affirmed. 3. Reschedule dates for the Tracy pre-hearing and hearing. 4. Police personnel changes for September 2018 - October 2018 5. Notification of names removed from police department eligibility registers. 6. Request to approve the Social Work Manager Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 7. Request to approve the Entry Level Police Officer Eligibility Register for a one-year period. 8. Fire Department Personnel Changes 9. Approval of 2018 Battalion Chief Promotional Eligibility Register The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
