Notice of Vacancy Mt. Pleasant City Council Office of Mayor Notice pursuant to Utah Code 20A-1-510 is hereby given of a vacancy on the Mt. Pleasant City Council, Office of Mayor, due to the resignation of Mayor Sandra S. Bigler. The Mt. Pleasant City Council will meet in a regular city council meeting Tuesday, October 9, 2018, to fill the vacancy of mayor to serve through December 31, 2019. The meeting shall begin at 6:30 p.m., in the Mt. Pleasant City Council Chambers, 115 West Main Street. Qualified candidates may apply at the City Recorder's Office, 115 West Main, by submitting a resume and letter of introduction that states the candidate's reasons for applying. The application must be received on or before Monday, October 8, 2018 by 4:00 p.m. Candidates must meet the qualifications of Section 10-3-301 of Utah Code: - U.S. Citizen - Registered voter of Mt. Pleasant City - A Resident of the City for the past 365 days - Not being a convicted felon, unless the right to hold elective office has been restored Brief presentations from the applicants will be given during City Council Meeting on October 9, 2018.
