NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARINGS TO CONSIDER AMENDMENTS TO THE DUCHESNE COUNTY GENERAL PLAN This notice is given pursuant to Utah Code Section 17-27a-204 and is being mailed to those entitled to notice under Utah Code Section 17-27a-204 (2). Duchesne County intends to consider amendments to its general plan to establish desired management classifications for Inventoried Roadless Areas (IRAs) on the Ashley National Forest. Such amendments are intended to support an effort by the State of Utah to petition the Secretary of Agriculture to undergo rulemaking to establish new management provisions for all of Utah's IRAs. Such provisions are being considered to improve the health, safety and productivity of Utah's forests. The public and affected entities are invited to review and comment on the draft general plan amendments. The documents (text and maps) will be available from the Community Development Department and on the Duchesne County website at: https://www.duchesne.utah.gov/your-government-2/county-departments/rename-02/planning-zoning-commission/ in advance of the meetings listed below: The date of the public meeting in which the draft plan amendments will be considered is: September 27, 2018 6:00 PM (County Planning Commission & Public Lands Committee) The dates of public hearings in which the draft plan amendments will be considered are: October 10, 2018 @ 5:00 PM County Planning Commission (recommendation) October 22, 2018 @ 1:30 PM Duchesne County Commissioners October 29, 2018 @ 1:30 PM Duchesne County Commissioners (if needed) All meetings and hearings will be held at the Duchesne County Administration Building, 734 N Center Street, Duchesne, Utah.
