Tax increase meeting August 2nd
ROADS: $997 for four tires. Take money from water, parks, and roads to pay.
PLANNING COMMISSION: Building permits required for buildings over 120 sq. ft. Fence ordinances for county are the same as ours. Doug was concerned about reroofing with tear-off. Permits are needed for reroofing with old roof removal, but don't need to be signed off by the town. With other towns, the county does a report on permits that were done that do not need town council and planning commission signatures and sends them to the town at the end of the month. Fences, new outbuilding, additions, and new home construction permits, and construction that has zoning setbacks need a signature from the town council and planning commission. Doug asked who can sign off on a building permit, Jason said whoever we decide. Decide two people to authorize and let Mistee know. Jason will let us know when the training for planning commission members is.
Florence Yearsley is asking for a building permit for a 35x24' barn and a fence for around her property. She got approval from the planning commission for the building. The mayor approved the fencing. Her rabbits will be kept in suspended cages.
CEMETERY: Marty is over cemetary. Cemetery records must be uploaded to the Utah State Historical Base, or the grant cannot be used. June 30, 2019 is deadline to spend grant money. Salina uses ARC GIS, costs about $300 a year, and is compatible with Utah Historical site. Ensign will get a bid for the program. The mayor motioned to move forward to purchase new program if it meet requirements, Jared seconded it. The council was unanimous.
