State Street Room 406 PO Box 145480 Salt Lake City, UT 84114 801-535-7700 On the Agenda Zoning Text Amendment for Accessory Buildings Interior Side Yard - Eric Anderson has submitted a petition requesting a text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow accessory buildings, including detached garages, to be located partially within the interior side yard of a property. This would amend Chapter 21A.36.020 and 21A.40.050 of the Zoning Ordinance. While the petitioner's property is located within the SR-1A - Special Development Pattern Residential zoning district, staff is evaluating the requested change to include other residential zoning districts city-wide in addition to the SR-1A zone. The proposed development will consist of two residential buildings with a total of 13 units. The planned development petition is primarily to allow for more than 6 units in one building and for setback adjustments. The subdivision is to reapportion the land to provide a lot for each unit. The subject parcels are located in the SR-3 (Special Development Pattern Residential) zoning district within City Council District 3, represented by Chris Wharton.
