Highland Youth City Council Meeting August 23, 2018; 6:15 pm Highland City Hall, Council Chambers 5400 West Civic Center Drive, Highland UT 84003, (801) 772-4507 Call to Order: Miranda Mugleston, Youth Mayor Pledge of Allegiance: Brennon Jones Approval of Minutes: Attendance: Kennedi Jensen Discussion Items: 1. Guest Speaker: Brian Braithwaite -City Council Member/Mayor Pro-Tem 2. Review Highland Fling: -How did it go? -What worked/what didn't? -Who took pictures - put all pictures in drive -Council participation 3. Review Drive in Movie: -Do again next year? -Talk about turn out 4. Senior Citizen Dinner: -Anna and Jessalyn -Oct 25th - City Hall 5. Courage Reins: -September 8th -For attendance makeup or anyone that can be there 6. Library Celebration: -September 17th - Game Night -Need as many as possible 7. Government Event - Town Hall Meeting with John Curtis -Laura & Jakob -Sept 20th - Everyone Attend, bring friends, family, neighbors 8. Library Birthday Party: -September 24th -Need 6-8 people to dress up as characters from a book 9. Attendance: -80% attendance -Those who are falling low should have been contacted by now -Be sure to keep up on this -Go to City meeting - 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month - sign-up sheet on the drive 10. Committee Reports: -Brennon and Lizzie - December Service Project -Youth Service Committee - Lizzie -Publicity - Brooklyn and Brianna -Historian - Daniel -Senior Dinner - Jessalyn and Anna 11. Next Meeting -Sept 27th 12. Adjournment: Miranda Mugleston
