CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ____________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Approve the minutes from July 19, 2018 meeting. 2. Payne Jurisdiction affirmation, Setting of Preconference and Hearing Dates 3. Police personnel changes for June 2018 - August 2018 4. Notification of names removed from police department eligibility registers. 5. Request to approve the Police Information Specialist Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 6. Request to approve the Utah POST Certified - Police Officer Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 7. Request to approve the Updated Social Work Manager Continual Hire Process. 8. Request to approve the Updated Entry Level Police Officer Continual Hire Process. 9. Fire Department Personnel Changes 10. Proposed Language Change to Rule 2-4-4 & 2-4-5 11. Proposed Language Change to Rule 4-2-1 12. Approval of Fire Prevention Specialist I Continual Hire Eligibility Register 13. Approval of Battalion Chief Promotional Process 14. Approval of Fire Logistics Coordinator Continual Hire Process The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
