Planning Commission Meeting July 12, 2018 Commissioners: Vice-Chair Nathan Platt, Jacob Draper, Mike Cederquist and Mary Simpson. Excused: Chairman Dale Fowers, Commissioner Cindy Cox, City Engineer-Tracy Allen, City Attorney- Brandon Richards. WORK MEETING: Agenda and line items reviewed. PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING Vice-Chairman Nathan Platt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by Commissioner Simpson and reverence was offered by Commissioner Draper. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES The minutes for the June 14, 2018 Planning Commission meeting were reviewed by the Commission. MOTION Commissioner Draper made a motion to approve the June 14, 2018 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes with corrections. Commissioner Cederquist seconded the motion. Commissioner Draper, Simpson and Cederquist voted 'aye'. The motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS 1. Final Approval- Tulane Subdivision, 1 lot, 3770 S. 5500 W. The purpose of this subdivision is to create a one (1) lot single-family building lot on .67 acres in the City's R2 zone. Mayor Green, presented the request for the Tulane Subdivision to the Commission. Reviewed current city land use map and ordinance requirements. PUBLIC HEARING Vice-chairman Platt opened the Public Hearing. No Comment. Closed public comment. Greg Tulane, property owner/developer, available for questions. Expressed concern for required subdivision improvements in conjunction with possible future city road improvements. MOTION: Commissioner Draper made a motion to recommend final approval of the Tulane Subdivision (1 lot), at 3770 S. 5500 W. to Council. Commissioner Simpson seconded the motion. Commissioner Draper, Simpson and Cederquist voted 'Aye'. Motion carried. MOTION to adjourn was made by Commissioner Draper. Seconded by Commissioner Cederquist. The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
