Amalga Planning and Zoning Meeting Minutes August 7, 2018 Present: Lance Gates, Chairman. Jason Munk, Carl Sims, Kelly Noble, Committee Members. Howard Kunz, Town Board. Dave Lee, Secretary. Visitors: Clayton Showell, Melanie Showell, Mike Burton, Dave Wood, Mayor. Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM 1. There were no minutes to be approved. 2. Mike Burton needs approval of Amalga Planning and Zoning and Amalga Town to extend what is now his driveway to his home to his rear 10 acres which are in the county. Mr. Burton wants to build a home for himself on the county property and sell his current home which is in Amalga City. Road will be a right of way, 22 feet wide, to comply with county regulations. Mr. Burtons' home is located at 8480 N 2400 W. Town Board will also have to approve. Motion to Approve-Carl Sims Second-Jason Munk Motion Carried 3. Request from Melanie Showell for a Home Occupation Business License for an internet business to be conducted from her home at 2098 Hwy 218. Motion to Approve-Carl Sims Second-Kelly Noble Motion Carried 4. Discussion with Clayton Showell on his request for a re-zone of the several properties located on Hwy 218, 2090, 2098, and 2102. We will schedule a Public Hearing on this matter for September 5, 2018, at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall in Amalga. Notice of this Public Hearing will be placed with the Herald Journal on August 22, 2018. Motion to table until September 5, 2018-Jason Munk Second-Kelly Noble Motion Carried The committee has several questions as to what can be required in this process. Questions should be forwarded to either Lance Gates, or Dave Lee by Wednesday, August 14, 2018. This questions will be given to Mayor Dave Wood, and he will meet with the town attorney to have them answered. Motion to Adjourn-Carl Sims Second-Jason Munk Motion Carried-Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM
