Library cafe-discussion regarding RFP and how to proceed Other Business or Information Next Board meeting Monday, September 10, 2018 Motion to adjourn The Arts policy -- August 6, 2018 Present, Terry Willis, Lindsay Lauridsen, Amy Richens and Norma Procarione We met to discuss the possibility of hanging art in the library. The following is a summer of what was discussed: Lindsay downloaded three (3) policies which we discussed. The policy should reflect ALA and local community standards Each display will be evaluated by a core committee to see if it fits community stands. A larger committee will be developed to evaluate questionable displays. Grievances: We need to develop a procedure to address grievances. Restrictions: Area/space available; size of work including frames No pornographic images, graphic violence or items in violation of federal or state laws. Damage-who is responsible. Norma will contact to enquire about the city's insurance policies. No price tags-we will not sale art. Business cards can be made available Fees: We are unable to pay for performances. It was suggest and small gift card be give as a thank you.
