Planning and Zoning Board meeting minutes June 19th 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Attending: Chairman David Pratz, board members John Innes, Keith Anderton, John Buell, and Sam Steed.
Submitted by: Wendy Steed, Town Clerk
John Innes made a motion to accept the minutes, John Buell seconded, passed.
1. Topic-combining the duties of the chairman and administer.
Discussion- David Pratz explained that he was appointed to the chairman of planning and zoning. Milo Medley was acting as the chairman and administer but he resigned to be on the town board. Chairman David Pratz said that we needed to appoint an administrator at this meeting. The administrator would approve the building permits that didn't need to come to the planning and zoning board. He would work with Wendy and the inspector to get these permits processed in a timely manner. If a permit requires a variance then it will need to be brought to the planning and zoning board.
Action- Sam nominated John Buell to be the administer, Keith seconded, passed unanimously.
2. Topic-Dwight Broussard-building permit for a barn
Discussion-Dwight would like to build a barn on his property located at 398 S 770 W. He said that his neighbor Dell Nielsen had the property surveyed and said that fence line is off. Dwight had it surveyed and said that according to his survey and the existing fence posts he has room for his barn that he wants to build. There is a dispute over the property lines.
Action- It was suggested that he work out the problem with Dell Nielsen and see if they couldn't come to an agreement. David told Dwight to come back and report to the board after he talks with Dell Nielsen.
3. Topic- Sam Steed-subdivision Skyler Steed-Subdivision
Discussion-Sam asked if Skyler could present his subdivision at the same time as he is presenting his subdivision that way the board wouldn't have to go over the same things twice. The board agreed to let them present it together. Sam and Skyler presented plans for their subdivisions. The lots are at least one acre or larger. Sam and Skyler are asking what they need to do to move forward with their subdivision. The subdivions would have eighteen lots. Sam said that he understood that the town would not grantee the water meters for the lots but the people would have to apply for the meter when they get ready to build. Sam said the he understood that the town would provide the fire hydrants. Also it is suggested that Sam and Skyler donate some of their Bullion Creek water for their subdivision.
Action- John Buell made a motion to accept the preliminary plans of these two subdivisions, David seconded, all in favor. Sam abstained from voting.
David made a motion to adjourn, Sam seconded, passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
