COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a Business Meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Chambers located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. 7:00 p.m. 1.0 WELCOME/PLEDGE 2.0 CITIZEN COMMENTS (Please note: In order to be considerate of everyone attending the meeting public comments will typically be limited to three minutes per person per item. A spokesperson who has been asked by a group to summarize their concerns will be allowed five minutes to speak. Comments which cannot be made within these limits should be submitted in writing to the City Recorder prior to noon the day of the meeting.) 3.0 STANDING MONTHLY REPORTS 3.1 Unified Fire Report - Assistant Chief Mike Watson (Report by Assistant Fire Chief Watson on medical and fire calls responded by Cottonwood Heights' stations during the month of June 2018; as well as other informational items.) 4.0 ACTION ITEMS 4.1 Consideration of Ordinance 303 Amending Section 2.140.703(B), COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CODE OF ORDINANCES, Concerning Membership of the Parks, Trails and Open Space Committee. (This ordinance will amend Section 2.140.703[B] of the city's code of ordinances to increase the maximum number of members on the Parks, Trails and Open Space Committee from 11 to 15). 4.2 Consideration of Resolution 2018-47 Approving an Agreement for Engineering Services with Gilson Engineering (2018-2020 Fiscal Years). (This proposed resolution will approve the city's entry into an agreement whereunder Gilson Engineering will provide 'city engineer' engineering services during the city's 2018-2020 fiscal years). 4.3 Consideration of Resolution 2018-48 Approving an Interlocal Agreement with Salt Lake County for a Grant of $149,394 in Corridor Preservation Funding. (By this resolution, the council will approve the city's entry into an interlocal agreement whereunder Salt Lake County will grant $149,394 in corridor preservation funding to the city pursuant to UTAH CODE ANN. 72-2-117.5). 5.0 CONSENT CALENDAR 5.1 Approval of the City Council Business Meeting minutes for June 12, 2018. And the City Council Work Session minutes for June 26, July 10 and 17, 2018. 6.0 ADJOURN BUSINESS MEETING AND RECONVENE WORK SESSION NOTICE OF COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights City Council will hold a Work Session at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Work Room located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah WORK SESSION 5:00 pm 1. Review of Business Meeting Agenda (Mayor Peterson will review the upcoming business meeting agenda with the city council.) 2. City Council and Staff Reports (Each week city council and staff provide informational reports from attended meetings and each department to allow for a method of keeping up on the day-to-day activities of the city. This report is available on the internet at www.ch.utah.gov. This agenda item is set aside to allow council members to ask questions or for staff to bring the council up to date of any changes since the report was made.) a. Street Lighting / Dark Skies Policy -Mike Johnson, CED Director (CED Director Mike Johnson will lead a discussion with the Council on the city's current street lighting policy.) b. Danish Rd. Truth in Taxation Open House and Public Hearing - Bryce Haderlie, Assistant City Manager (Assistant City Manager Bryce Haderlie will lead a discussion with city council on the presentation and the open house scheduled for the Truth in Taxation.) Closed Meeting to Discuss Litigation, Property Acquisition and the Character and Professional Competence or Physical or Mental Health of an Individual 6. ADJOURN On Monday, July 30, 2018 at 4:20 p.m. a copy of the foregoing notices was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of the Cottonwood Heights City Offices, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A copy of this notice was faxed to the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News, newspapers of general circulation in the City by the Office of the City Recorder.
