- CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ____________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Approve the minutes from June 21, 2018 meeting. 2. Approval of the Financial Manager I Eligibility Register 3. Notification of Name removed from the 2018 Entry-level Firefighter Hire List 4. Police personnel changes for May 2018 - July 2018. 5. Notification of names removed from police department eligibility registers. 6. Request to approve the Police Intelligence Specialist Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 7. Request to approve the UPDATED Entry Level Police Officer Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 8. Request to approve the reinstatement of Police Officer III, Val Brown. 9. Request to approve the Administrative Secretary I - Non-Union Continual Hire Eligibility Register. The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
