NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, UTAH Public Notice Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of St. George, Washington County, Utah, will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the Administrative Conference Room, St. George City Hall, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, commencing at 4:00 p.m. The agenda for the meeting is as follows: CONSIDERING APPROVAL OF AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE OF FIREWORKS IN RESTRICTED AREAS. BACKGROUND and RECOMMENDATION: Under state law, the city council is authorized to prohibit the use of fireworks in areas the fire chief determines there are hazardous environmental conditions which necessitate the restriction of the use of fireworks to prevent fires. Recommend approval of the ordinance. PRESENTATION FROM RON THOMPSON WITH THE WASHINGTON COUNTY WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT. REPORT ON THE MCKINSTRY ENERGY PROJECT. PRESENTATION FROM THE COMMUNITY EDUCATION CHANNEL (CEC). PRESENTATION OF SOLAR SOLICITATION PROCESS AND PROPOSED SELECTION. PRESENTATION OF PROPOSED TOWN SQUARE IMPROVEMENTS. DISCUSSION REGARDING TREES IN THE DESERT HILLS SUBDIVISION. DISCUSSION REGARDING A PROPOSED DOMINION ENERGY REGIONAL GAS LINE ALONG RED HILLS PARKWAY AND SURROUNDING AREAS. APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY. REPORTS FROM MAYOR, COUNCILMEMBERS, AND CITY MANAGER.
