2018 PRIMARY BALLOT
CERTIFIED CANDIDATES
2018 REGULAR PRIMARY ELECTION
Public Notice, is hereby given that the regular primary election will be held on June 26, 2018. The following is information concerning the upcoming election.
1. The attached list of candidates for federal, single-county, and multi-county office whose names must appear on the June 26, 2018 primary ballot;
2. that qualified political parties have certified the candidates whose names should appear on the June 26, 2018 primary election ballot for partisan offices;
3. the Utah Republican Party and the Utah Democratic Party declared their intent to participate in the 2018 primary election;
4. the Utah Republican Party permits only registered voters affiliated with the Republican Party to participate in their primary election;
5. the Utah Democratic Party permits all registered voters whether affiliated or unaffiliated with a party to participate in their primary election;
6. Utah Code § 20A-2-107 prohibits registered voters from designating or changing their party affiliation after May 29, 2018; and,
7. Utah Code § 20A-2-107.5 permits registered voters who are unaffiliated with a party to affiliate with a party by giving a change of affiliation form to an election judge during the primary election.
8. This is a Vote by Mail Election, ballots will be mailed to voters on or before June 5, 2018. If you have questions or would like to request another ballot type call the Wasatch County Clerk/Auditors office 435-657-3190 or visit the office, located at 25 North Main Street, Heber City Utah.
9. Wasatch will hold a public logic and accuracy testing of tabulating equipment on June 8, 2018. Location of this testing will be 25 North Main Street, Heber City Utah at 10:00 a.m... Early voting will be held on June 19, 20, 21, and 22 at the same location. Early voting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will end at 5:00 p.m.
10. A vote center will be open on Election Day June 26, 2018 located at 25 North Main Street, Heber City Utah. The vote center will be open from 7:00 a.m. and voting will end at 8:00 p.m.
11. A canvass of the primary election will be held on July 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at 25 North Main Street, Heber City Utah.
