CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ____________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Approve the minutes from April 18, 2018 meeting. 2. Payne and Tracy Jurisdiction affirmation, Setting of Preconference and Hearing Dates 3. Confirm Jurisdiction and hold the hearing for Rene Zepeda's Petition. 4. Update on the Fire Fighter Testing Process i.e. numbers who tested, analytics on outreach and who actually tested, next steps in process and dates, etc. 5. Police personnel changes for April 2018 - May 2018. 6. Notification of names removed from police department eligibility registers. 7. Request to approve the Police Specialist - Hourly Continual Hire Process. 8. Request to approve the Updated Utah POST Certified - Police Officer Continual Hire Testing and Selection Process. 9. Notice of upcoming Police Department assimilation of Salt Lake City Airport personnel. The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
