Request for proposal to redesign the Santa Clara Fire Station
Santa Clara-Ivins Fire & Rescue 2018 Rachel Station Remodel:
The city of Santa Clara is now accepting proposals from interested parties to provide architectural and engineering services to redesign and provide specifications to upgrade the Santa Clara Fire Station located at 2365 Rachel Drive. An estimate of design fees and design services for the station redesign is requested from interested persons and firms. This information will be used by city managers to select an A&E person/firm to contract with a design firm and start the project. Additional information and site inspection can be arranged by calling Chief Dan Nelson or Assistant Chief Charlie Peterson at 435 674-1083.
The Rachel Fire Station was constructed in 1996. It is a light commercial building constructed of block and wooden framing. The 6,280 sq ft structure consists of three pull-through bays with attached office and training space of about 1960 sq ft. It is anticipated that the redesign would increase the office/quarters area to about 3,100 sq ft. The City would like construction to start this summer.
For consideration, estimated fees and design services need to be submitted in a closed envelope to Chris Shelley, City Recorder, Santa Clara City, 2603 Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara City, Utah 84765 before 5PM on Tuesday May 8th 2018; all bids shall be opened at 10AM on Wednesday May 9th. All applicants shall be notified prior to 10AM on Thursday May 10th.
