Key issues and recommendations from city staff for final plat approval:
- Clarification on existing fence on the east boundary
- Street drainage plan approval required by Public Works
- Letter stating adequate water shares are available from Hooper Irrigation
- Letter from Weber Fire indicating whether or not a new fire hydrant is needed
Marvin Orrock, developer, was present for questions.
Chairman Fowers and Commission discussed the recommendations from city staff and key issues listed in subdivision memos. Clarified that cannot move forward to council without items being completed.
Marvin Orrock, developer, confirmed that the fence along the east border is not placed on the property boundary but that the neighboring properties are aware that the fence line is NOT the property line. He also stated that he is aware of listed key issues in staff memos; storm drain, curb/gutter/sidewalk, fire hydrant and irrigation ditch, he is actively working to resolve and complete those items. The irrigation ditch on the south side will be abandoned once the homes are built and would like the storm drain runoff to continue north into the already buried pipe at end of 6400 W.
Tracy Allen, City Engineer, explained that the City has no documentation from older county subdivision files that states the City has a right to continue to discharge access water on to private property. That is why a storm water plan and approval with Public Works is critical before subdivision can be approved.
