- NOTICE OF AGENDA FOR PLANNING AND ZONING AMENDMENT Delta City hereby gives notice that the Delta City Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday February 8, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this public hearing is to receive and consider public comment regarding proposed amendments in zoning regulations for the central areas of Delta City. The proposed amendment will affect areas of land that are designated as 'Redevelopment Areas' and which shall be defined by a map adopted by the City as the Delta City Redevelopment Area. Land located within the established Redevelopment Area, under certain parameters and requirements, may become exempt from public improvement requirements that would otherwise be required for the subdivision of that land under existing City ordinances. The purpose of the amendment and the adoption of the Delta City Redevelopment Area is to encourage the use and development of central portions of the City. The public hearing will address: 1) the possible amendment of land use regulation to create a Redevelopment Area that may be exempt from certain public improvement requirement applicable as part of subdivision; 2) what portions of the City should be included in the Delta City Redevelopment Area; and, 3) parameters by which the City will approve lot line adjustments.
