NOTICE OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE EPHRAIM CITY RECREATION BOARD WEDNESDAY, January 24, 2018 7:00 p.m. Ephraim City Conference Room Municipal Building, 5 South Main, Ephraim, Utah MEETING AGENDA CALL TO ORDER AGENDA Items: 1. Public Comments 2. Youth Basketball Report 3. Spring Soccer Program A. Leagues will consist of Gunnison, Manti, Gunnison and Ephraim. B. Play will be on Saturday mornings in the hosting community. C. It would be for Preschool - Fifth grades. Signups will also include any Boys or Girls that didn't make the Middle School Teams. Hopefully we will have enough to make a team. D. No games officials for Preschool - Kindgarten, E. Officials for 1st thru 2nd Grades games (1), Officials for 3rd - 5th grades games. (2) F. The program will start on March 10 and run until April 28, 2018. 4. Spring Volleyball Program A. The leagues would consist of North Sanpete and Ephraim B. Participants will be girls who are 2nd to 8th grades. C. The games will be played on Wednesday and practice will be on Tuesday Evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Most of the games will be played at North Sanpete High School Gym. We could have some games in Ephraim. It will depend on the gym space in Mt. Pleasant. 5. Baseball & Softball Program A. UBBA Meeting is February 6th, at Provo Recreation Center at 9:00 a.m. Recreation purpose is that each person who signs up will a have chance to go to and play in the State Tournament. B. Babe Ruth Baseball meeting is February 17, 2018 in Provo, Utah. 11:00 a.m. C. UBBA vs. Babe Ruth Baseball D. Community Rec vs Accelerated Teams scheduling of Fields E. Girls Softball back in the UGSA 6. Track and Field A. Meeting in Orem on February 6, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. 1. We are part of Central Utah Track and Field Association 2. We did very well in the CUTFA SOUTH INVITATIONAL held in Mt. Pleasant. 3. We may have a chance to host the CUTFA in Manti this June. 4. Registration will be held in the middle of February or first of March. Last year we had over 80 Boys & Girls participate. 7. Discussion of other Sport Programs to run this Year. a. Lions Tournament June 4 - 9, 2018 b. Coed Flag Football C. Men Slow Pitch Softball d. Baseball League for accelerated teams in April & May E. Softball Accelerated League in July F. Baseball in July? G. Any other Sports? 8. Recreation Center Building 9. Set date for Next Board Meeting ADJOURN This facility is wheelchair accessible and handicap parking is available.
