- CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ____________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission will hold a meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 451 South State Street, Room 126, Salt Lake City Utah. AGENDA 1. Approve the minutes from December 21, 2017 meeting. 2. Firefighter Outreach and Recruitment Events. 3. Discussion relating CSC Rule 2-5-2 Removal from Eligibility Register 4. Email to 2016 Firefighter Candidate List 5. Police Outreach and Recruitment Events 6. Updated Police Officer III Job Description and Job Announcement 7. Police personnel changes for December 2017 - January 2017. 8. Request to remove names from the Entry Level Police Officer Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 9. Request to approve the Updated Forensic Scientist I Continual Hire Testing and Selection Process. 10. Request to approve the Updated Forensic Scientist II Continual Hire Testing and Selection Process. 11. Request to Approve the Updated Social Service Worker/Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor Continual Hire Eligibility Register. 12. Discussion on the production of CSC Annual Report. The Civil Service Commission will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session. A closed meeting described under Utah Code § 52-4-205 may be held for specific purposes including, but not limited to: a. discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; c. strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; f. discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems; and g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct. A closed meeting may also be held for attorney-client matters that are privileged pursuant to Utah Code § 78B-1-137, and for other lawful purposes that satisfy the pertinent requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
