Multi-family Housing Field Trip - 8:00am -
In Millcreek:
1) The Hamptons - twin home project 3680 S 2300 E. This is a new development.
2) Mill Trace apartments - originally proposed as semi-truck shipping container living - 3225 S 900 East. New development.
3) Shady Brook - older condominium project that uses Millcreek to enhance its' surroundings - 880 E Scott Ave (3500ish South across from Scott Park). It stretches all the way over to 7th East.
4) Twin home project on 3670 S 900 E - a public street of twin homes. Relatively new.
5) Millcreek Towers - 4.5 story apartment - 3662 S 900 E. New development
6) Aspen Hills - older apartment complex - 900 E 3249 S
7) Old Farm - famous but now older apartment complex with a variety of unit types and extensive mature landscaping - 3900 S 700 E - SW corner
8) Kier Apartments - 4 story with a sloped roof (seems higher), was allowed to utilize some of the open space at the Lions Club Recreation Center - about 1700 E Murray Holladay Rd.
9) Craftsman - gated community of condos, interesting pond on the north side (only can really see it with Google) - 4500 S 1650 E. We have quite a few gated communities.
10) 4340 S Highland - urban style gated condominium community. 4 story on a lot that slopes away from the street.
11) Artesian Springs - 4197 S Main - Hooper Knowlton project, mostly complete new construction in the Fireclay area.
12) Meadowbrook Station Apartments - 3994 S Howick St. (about 250 W), recent construction with several concessions made on parking and mixed-use requirements. Significant building mass.
Optional other projects:
South Salt Lake - new urban style condo/apartment community on the S line and approved via a Form Based Code - 2260 S 400 E
Mixed use in SLC - various projects in Sugarhouse, but the most visited is the one on the SW corner of 1100 E and 2100 S (includes Wasatch Brewery). There are several along 4th South also.
West Valley - the Highberry area near 5400 W and 2950 S is worth a moment since there are several projects there of note - Pinnacle apartments, Cowboy Partners large apartment complex adjacent (east of) to the commercial uses on 5600 W where the units face onto the street, and a smaller Bryson Garbett condominium project just east of the Cowboy Partners one which again faces onto the street. Also, there is a new apartment complex just to the west of Winco off of 5600 W.
Taylorsville - 6200 S 3200 W, SE corner an interesting approach to a busy street with a townhome project.
