NOTICE is hereby given that the WASATCH COUNTY JSPA (Jordanelle Specially Planned Area) PLANNING COMMISSION will hold a Public Hearing on April 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Wasatch County Council Chambers, located at 25 North Main Street, Heber City, to consider the following items:
1. HAMC Wasatch, LLC is requesting revised master plan approval for Deer Cove, an 80-acre master planned development consisting of 864.5 ERU's (equivalent Residential Units). The proposal includes hotel, branded condo-hotel, multi-family residential, retail, attached housing and detached single family. The proposal is located in the Jordanelle Basin northeast of the Mayflower interchange on the east side of Highway 40 directly across from the Gondola and north of the Jordanelle fire station in Section 24, Township 2 South, Range 4 East in the JSPA (Jordanelle Specially Planned Area overlay). *Recommendation by the JSPA Planning Commission on this item will be considered by the County Council as the Land Use Authority, at a Public Hearing on May 4, 2016.
2. Jack Johnson Consulting, representative for Stichting Mayflower Mountain Fonds & Stichting Mayflower Recreational Fonds, is requesting a code amendment to Section 16.04.02 of the Wasatch County Code regarding the definition of commercial uses. Commercial uses are not counted towards the density of a project for planning purposes. The code amendment proposes that condo-hotels, under some specific circumstances, are a commercial use and therefore not counted towards density for planning purposes. *Recommendation by the JSPA Planning Commission on this item will be considered by the County Council as the Land Use Authority, at a Public Hearing on May 4, 2016.
