1. PLNPCM2010-00132; Major Street Pet Services Conditional Use—a request by Major Street Pet Services, represented by Jake Tate for conditional use approval of an Animal Cremation Service with a Crematorium located at approximately 1727 South Major Street. The property is located in the CC (Commercial Corridor) zoning district in Council District 5, represented by Jill Remington Love (Staff contact: Ray Milliner at 801.535.7645 or ray.milliner@slcgov.com). 2. PLNPCM2010-00101; Utah Transit Authority Rail Radio Communication Tower Conditional Use—a request by the Utah Transit Authority, represented by Ron Cameron for conditional use approval to build a telecommunication tower at approximately 1741 North 1 East. The property is located in the OS (Open Space) zoning district in Council District 3, represented by Stan Penfold (Staff contact: Ray Milliner at 801.535.7645 or ray.milliner@slcgov.com). 3. PLNPCM2010-00064; Fine Tuning Zoning Text Amendments – Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker is requesting that the Planning Commission analyze and adjust the Zoning Ordinance to provide for clarity and efficiency of use as part of a code maintenance program. The subject petition addresses several minor fine tuning text amendments that would apply citywide if adopted by the City Council (Staff contact: Lex Traughber at 801.535.6184 or lex.traughber@slcgov.com). 4. Dedication of Private Streets to Public Ownership – The City occasionally receives requests from property owners along a private street to dedicate the street to public ownership. The Salt Lake City Council has requested that the Administration develop a proposed policy regarding these requests. A team of City Staff representing various departments of the City has developed a draft policy proposed to be adopted as ordinance for City Council consideration. The Salt Lake City Administration is seeking public input on the proposed ordinance prior to review by the Planning Commission and City Council. PLNPCM20098-01337; Sustainability Development Code Changes; Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance Use Tables—a request by Mayor Ralph Becker to amend the Use Tables of the Zoning Ordinance to allow for more opportunity for community gardens, seasonal farm stands, community support agriculture, solar arrays, and wind generating systems in appropriate zoning districts throughout the City (Staff contact: Cheri Coffey at 801.535.7645 or ray.milliner@slcgov.com). 6. PLNPCM2009-01338; Sustainability Development Code Changes; amendment related to accessory buildings—a request by Mayor Ralph Becker to amend the Zoning Ordinance in regards to accessory structures associated with urban agriculture (such as greenhouses) and renewable energy systems (such as solar collection systems) in an effort to facilitate and regulate those activities throughout the City (Staff contact: Casey Stewart at 801.535.6260 or casey.stewart@slcgov.com). 7. PLNPCM2009-01019; Extension of Existing Monopole—a request by Clearwire for a Conditional Use to increase the height of an existing monopole from 55 feet 6 inches to 80 feet at approximately 2779 West Directors Row.
