- PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that Garland City will be accepting applications for individuals wanting to be considered to fill a City Council interim vacancy. The appointment will begin September 2015 and will go through December 2015. Qualifications for consideration are that the applicant must be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of the municipality, and be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Applications must be filed in person at the office of the City Recorder during regular office hours (M-F, 9 a.m-5 p.m.) and not later than 5 p.m. on August 26, 2015. Applicants will then be considered by the City Council during the work session meeting to be held on September 2, 2015 at 7:00 pm and appointed during the regular meeting at 8 pm at the Garland City Hall, 72 North Main Street, Garland Utah.
