- PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that Garland City will be accepting applications for the purpose of appointing a registered voter in the municipality who meets the qualifications for office established in Utah Code Ann. ยง 10-3-301 to fill the unexpired term of the office vacated by Mayor Scott Coleman. The appointment will begin August 2015 and will go through December 2017. Qualifications for consideration are that the applicant must be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of the municipality, and be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Applications must be filed in person at the office of the City Recorder, Sharlet Anderson, during regular office hours (M-F, 9 a.m-5 p.m.) and not later than 5 p.m. on July 29, 2015. Applicants will then be interviewed by the City Council during a public meeting to be held on August 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Garland City Hall, 72 North Main Street, Garland Utah.
