NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY
RE: Proposed December 2014 Service Changes. UTA is proposing a service change to local bus service Route 645 in Weber County. A public hearing will be held to discuss these proposed changes. The location will be:
Weber County Library, 25th and Jefferson Ave., downstairs in the auditorium
Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
At the hearing, the Utah Transit Authority will provide an opportunity for citizens, private transportation providers, public officials and interested agencies to comment on the proposed changes. To be included as part of the Public Hearing record, all comments must be postmarked or received by UTA no later than September 29, 2014.
THE FORMAT FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
The Weber County Public Hearing will be an Open House format. Proposed route changes will be posted. UTA staff will be available to answer questions from the public as well as hear feedback from the public concerning proposed change. The public will also be able to submit written public comments.
To assure full participation at the hearing, accommodations for effective communication such as sign language interpreters or printed materials in alternative formats, or a language interpreter for non-English speaking participants, must be requested at least five (5) working days prior to the date of the scheduled event. Requests for ADA accommodations should be directed to UTA ADA Compliance Officer at 801-287-3537 or dial 711 to make a relay call for deaf or hearing impaired persons. Proposals are as follows:
UTA is proposing modifications to 645 routing to improve access to key end destinations, and improve ridership. Under the proposed changes route 645 will serve 400 N., Wall Ave. (Walmart), Larsen Ln and 1100 N., in addition to the Ogden Tech College on the north end of the route. On the south end, Weber State University will be served, as well as McKay Dee Hospital and the Ogden Clinic.
Route 645 will not service the area between 36th Street and Quincy Avenue and Monroe Blvd. west of 46th Street. Route 645 will also not service Canfield Road (1225 North) between Washington Blvd. and Monroe Blvd.
Service will continue running every 30 minutes throughout the day, from approximately 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. A potential schedule will also be posted at the public hearing for review.

Changes being proposed will be finalized after the public hearing comment period ends September 29, 2014 and will be ready to start operating as part of the December 7, 2014 change day.

Relevant information about the proposed changes will be available at the Public Hearing or may be reviewed at the UTA Mt. Ogden office, 135 W. 17th St., Ogden, Utah 84404, until September 29, 2014. Comments on proposed changes must be postmarked or received by UTA no later than 5 p.m. September 29, 2014 to be part of the Public Hearing record.
