NOTICE AND AGENDA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gunnison City Council will hold a Public Hearing along with its regularly scheduled City Council Meeting Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. 1) Invocation 2) 7:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m. Public Hearing to Receive Public Comment and to Proposed Fiscal Year 2014-2015 and Proposed Adoption of Operating and Capital Budgets for Gunnison City including the 2014 Certified Tax Rate, Proposed Fee Waivers and Donations, Fee Schedule Changes and Compensation of Statutory Employees 3) Proposed Approval of Conditional Use Permit at Approximately 290 No. 100 West, Michael Wanner 4) Public Comment 5) Proposed Approval of Resolution 2014-11, 2015 Budget Adoption with Operating and Capital Budgets for Gunnison City including Adoption of the County's Calculation of the 2014 Certified Tax Rate, Proposed Fee Waivers and Donations, Fee Schedule Changes and Compensation of Statutory Employees 6) Proposed Approval of Ordinance 2014-2, Compensation of Elected and Statutory Officers of Gunnison City 7) Discuss and Proposed Approval of Amendment to Personnel Policy, Chapter 4.4, Adding Section 4.4.210, Driver Qualification Standard 8) Discuss and Proposed Approval of Amendment to Personnel Policy, Chapter 4.6, Section 4.6.130, Light Duty and Chapter 4.6 Section 4.6.140, Return to Work 9) Proposed Approval of Part-time Lifeguards at the Swimming Pool ~ Council Member Judy 10) Appoint and Proposed Approval of Kristy Nielson as BMX Track Manager 11) Proposed Approval of Donation to Firemen Challenge, Sanpete County Fair 12) July 4th Celebration Review 13) Proposed Approval City Council Meeting Minutes for Wednesday, June 18, 2014, Open Session 14) Proposed Approval of Bills and Adjustments 15) Future Items 16) Closed Session 17) Adjourn NOTE: The agenda items may be discussed in any order. *In compliance with ADA, persons needing auxiliary communicative aids & accommodations for City-sponsored public meetings, services, programs, etc. should call City Offices at (435)528-7969 giving at least 24 hours notice. Consideration of adjourning into a Closed Session pursuant to the Provisions of Section 52-4-5(1) of the Open Meeting Law for the purpose of (a) discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; (c) strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; and (d) strategy sessions to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property, including any form of a water right or water shares, if public discussion of the transaction would: (i) disclose the appraisal or estimated value of the property under consideration; or (ii) prevent the public body from completing the transaction on the best possible terms.
