LINDON CITY COUNCIL
It is hereby given that the Lindon City Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in the Lindon City Center, City Council Chambers, at 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:

PRESENTATION - Ron Hatfield, Kelly Bishop, and Brent Bunnell will be recognized for their work on the committee to promote the “Paver Project” for the Aquatics Center. - 5 minutes
MINUTES - The minutes of the regular meeting of July 21, 2009 (which includes the Open House) and the Open House meeting on August 11, 2009 will be reviewed. - 3 minutes

CURRENT BUSINESS
1. Public Hearing - Plat Amendment - Stable Ridge Residential Subdivision, Plat “C”. The City Council will hear public comment and possibly act to approve a plat amendment to Plat “A” of the Stable Ridge Residential Subdivision. If approved, this amendment will shift the shared property line for Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Plat “A” thereby creating a new Plat “C”. The Planning Commission recommended approval with no conditions. - 5 minutes
2. Public Hearing - Truth in Taxation Hearing - Consideration of a Proposed Property Tax Increase (Resolution #2009-19 -R). The City Council will hear public comment and possibly act to approve, amend, or deny a proposed increase to the certified property tax rate for Lindon City. The City Council held two “Open House” meetings on July 21, 2009 and August 11, 2009 to receive citizen input and to present the factual reasoning behind the proposal. - 2 hours
3. Review and Action - Lindon City Planning Commission Appointment. This is a request by Mayor Dain for the City Council’s consent and approval of the appointment of Angela Neuwirth to the Lindon City Planning Commission for a three year term. - 5 minutes
4. Review and Action - Bid Award - 400 North Street/Drainage Improvement Project. This is a request by staff for the Council’s review and approval of the bid award for the 400 North Street/Drainage Improvement Project. The project includes paving the shoulder and installing some drainage pipe to improve run-off along 400 North from approximately 100 East to 60 West. Staff recommends the bid be awarded to the low bidder, Sunroc Corporation, with a bid of $51,724.50. - 10 minutes
5. Review and Action - Appointment of Poll Workers and Voting Locations - 2009 Municipal Elections. The City Recorder recommends the City Council approve the list of poll workers and the voting locations for the 2009 Municipal Elections. - 10 minutes
